Next year marks an exciting milestone for the Oregon Venture Fund: 20 years of investing in entrepreneurs and innovation across our region! As we reflect on this journey, one theme stands out: our steadfast commitment to people, relationships, and collaboration.
After 15 years with the fund, I have seen the fund grow from an angel fund investing around $3M per year to a professional venture fund that now invests $20M annually. OVF’s AUM has grown from $9M to $217M. But the dollars aren’t the full picture; the innovations and the people behind the fund and this community are what makes it so special.
I have seen firsthand how much of OVF’s impact comes from the founders, investors, advisors, and community partners who show up, make connections, and help companies grow. Over the past two decades, the right relationship, introduction, or advice has helped change the trajectory of companies across our region.
